Join Us for a Unique Opportunity to Study with Tom Myers and Dr. Robert Schleip Online!

Recent advances in fascia research have revolutionized our understanding of how the body ages and what we can do to maintain flexibility and mobility throughout life.

Far from being merely passive wrapping material, fascia is now recognized as a dynamic, body-wide network that plays a crucial role in everything from movement and stability to cellular communication and healthy aging.
Research has shown that the gradual stiffening and loss of mobility many experience after age 50 is largely due to changes in the fascial system - our body's vast network of connective tissue.

These changes include decreased hydration, reduced elasticity, and increased adhesions between fascial layers. However, new research also reveals that these changes are not inevitable.

With the right approach to movement and body maintenance, we can significantly slow or even reverse many age-related changes in the fascia.
How? In our new course on Keys to Enhancing Fascial Fitness for Greater Flexibility and Mobility you will have the opportunity to study the key principles of keeping the fascia supple and resilient with Tom Myers and Dr. Robert Schleip, leading experts in the field of fascia research and movement science.

Learn evidence-based strategies for keeping your fascial system supple, hydrated and resilient - essential keys to maintaining freedom of movement and physical autonomy throughout life.

Whether you're a yoga teacher looking to better serve your aging students or a practitioner seeking to optimize your own aging trajectory, this course offers cutting-edge insights and practical tools for enhancing fascial fitness at any age.

Best of all, you can study in the comfort of your own home, AND, you'll be able to access the course and course bonuses for as long as you like. You get lifetime access!

How Different Stretching Styles Affect the Fascia

Join us for this rare opportunity to bridge the gap between fascial research and practical application with one of the field's most respected voices.

Did you know that when it comes to fascial health, stretching is more than "just" stretching?

In fact, there are many different ways to stretch the fascial network and they all have a different effect.

In this important presentation, you will learn cutting-edge research on how different stretching approaches uniquely impact various tissue components within our fascial network.

From dynamic oscillations to sustained holds, each stretching style creates distinct responses in fascial tissues - affecting everything from hydration levels and fibroblast activity to mechanoreceptor engagement.

Understanding these nuanced responses allows you to make more informed choices about which stretching approaches best serve your body's specific needs.

Dr. Schleip will share:

  • The latest research findings on tissue-specific responses to different stretching styles-
  • How varying load, duration, and movement patterns influence fascial adaptation
  • Evidence-based strategies for enhancing tissue resilience and mobility

Building Interoception
Connect in a New Way with Your Body

The body has much to tell us, but often we need to learn ways to listen. Myofascial release techniques sharpen one of our senses that is often called the sixth sense: interoception, the ability to recognize sensations and signals from inside the body.

As part of Track 3, study live online with Ellen Saltonstall and learn how to integrate Yoga and Myofascial Release methods into your yoga practice and teaching.

Our all-pervasive fascial web functions as support, as force transfer, and as sensory feedback throughout the entire body. But it can significantly restrict our movement if it is chronically tight. Myofascial release techniques take advantage of the rich nerve supply within the fascia; by applying specifically targeted pressure to the fascia, the body and mind release tension and movement becomes easier and more enjoyable.

Using simple tools like rubber balls, learn how to explore tension patterns and gain greater flexibility to chronic aches or movement restrictions in your body that persist even with a good yoga practice.

Increasing Your Health Span:
The Fascia Rejuvenation Method for Soft Tissue Resilience & Whole Body Renewal

Join yoga therapists Eva Norlyk Smith, Ph.D. and Terry Smith, Ph.D. and learn a new, groundbreaking approach to building greater fascial health and resilience. Learn new ways to work with the body to prevent or address age or trauma related changes in the fascia like adhesions, fibrosis, scar tissue, loss of hydration, and loss of pliability.

It is these factors which many researchers now believe may result in the structural changes in the fascial network that lie at the root cause of numerous disease processes.

You will learn many of the current ways we practice yoga that doesn’t allow us to gain the full benefits of the practice when it comes to building greater fascial resilience. You will also learn a system that empowers you to work more effectively with building fascial resilience in your own body and help your students do the same.

The Fascia Rejuvenation Method Course Includes Six Modules:

Practice 1: Learning to Tune In to the Fascia

Your Body Speaks in Sensations

In this module, we explore different ways to tune in to the fascial network and develop a felt sense of the fascial sheath in our body. Learn to feel the difference between a stretch and fascial release.
This module lays the foundation for vastly improving interoception and connecting with the felt sense of your body in a more profound way.
It is now known that interoception has a wide range of health benefits. People with strong interoception are able to notice and connect with bodily sensations linked to emotions, signals of hunger and thirst, and even intuitive hunches.

Practice 2: Principles for Matrix Hydration

Fascia Rejuvenation for Slowing Soft Tissue Aging

In this module, we will explore the practical applications of current fascia research in terms of the key ways we can work with the fascia directly in yoga asanas to keep it pliable, hydrated, and resilient.

Learn the 3 key approaches you can use to engage the bodywide fascial network in each yoga pose instead of just individual muscle groups.

Also learn the 6 types of movement you can incorporate into your yoga asanas practice to make sure that your practice offers a full, integrated workout for the fascia.

For yoga teachers, you will also learn how to make this technique available to everyone, whether a long-term yoga practitioner or beginning yoga student, to develop a new edge in your teaching.

Practice 3:
The Fascia Rejuvenation Method in Yoga Asanas

Building Fascial Resilience in the Superficial Back Line

In the next four modules, we will dive into the practical applications of the Fascia Rejuvenation Method as it applies to Tom Myers’ Anatomy Trains model.

Learn how to practice to create deeper opening and fascial resilience along the superficial back line. Experience how this translates into a deepening in forward bending yoga asanas.

Practice 4: Fascia Rejuvenation in Yoga Asanas

Building Fascial Resilience
in the Superficial Front Line

This module continues applying the Fascia Rejuvenation Method to Tom Myers’ Anatomy Trains model. Learn how to foster greater fascial resilience along the superficial front line. Experience how this translates into a deepening in backbending yoga asanas.

Practice 5: Fascia Rejuvenation in Yoga Asanas

Building Fascial Resilience in
the Spiral and Lateral Lines

In this module, learn how to integrate the principles of the fascia to work more directly with the lateral line and spiral line in yoga asanas to create greater opening, resilience and strength. Experience how this translates into a deepening of the breath and increased mobility of the thoracic spine.

Practice 6: Fascia Rejuvenation in Yoga Asanas

The Deep Core Line and the Power of the Breath

The deep core line as described by Tom Myers in his Anatomy Trains model forms an anatomical and energetic center that includes the inner thighs, the psoas muscles, the diaphragm, and breathing muscles. As such, it has a powerful connection to our autonomic nervous system and parasympathetic functioning.

In this module, learn how to connect with the deep core line in your practice and experience how working with the deep core line can help induce a sense of ease, relaxation and well-being.
